Autumn is my favorite season...!!! I love the changing of the leaves, Halloween, pumpkin soups etc.. but I especially love the smell of Cinnamon during fall. I confess that I'm in love with Cinnamon. Originating in Tropical Asia in places like Sri Lanka and India, Cinnamon has had a long and wonderful history. In ancient Egypt, Cinnamon was used to make incense and perfumes, while other parts of North Africa, Middle East and Ancient Greece and Rome would buy and trade it during the spice trade.
In modern times Cinnamon has made it's way into essential oils, air fresheners, hair color, makeup, body fragrances, our favorite desserts etc..
I complied a visual list of all things Cinnamon that I love.

* Please note that there's a difference in "True Cinnamon" and it's cousin "Cassia". Cassia is a close relative of True Cinnamon and is sometimes used as an alternative, even though its a bit different Cassia is still a good alternative*

Cinnamon and honey mask

HONEY CINNAMON FACE MASK Ingredients

1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp nutmeg powder

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, then apply the mask to clean skin. Let it sit for approximately 20 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water, gently rinsing in circular motions. Moisturize as usual and apply weekly. Because cinnamon brings blood to the surface of the skin, sensitive skin types should take precaution when using this mask.
